Internship

Intern teachers will serve alongside a Mission to the World (MTW) team to teach classes and assist staff. You’ll be helping provide education in a Christian environment for the children of missionaries, Japanese families, and other international families.

Intern teachers are needed for core subjects (science, math, English, history, etc.), as well as extracurricular subjects (Music, PE, Art). Opportunities for ministry outside of CCSI include assisting with Bible studies/youth groups, VBS programs, and English as a Second Language classes.

This mentored internship is 11 months, running from late August through early July. It's a great opportunity to hone ministry skills, learn about the culture, and build relationships that can lead to gospel conversations. There are no language requirements for teaching, but we encourage interns to pursue language study to assist with daily life in Japan. Intern teachers need to have either a college degree or significant work experience and be at least 21 years old. Education majors and/or teaching experience are preferred. Ideal candidates are helpful, humble, teachable, and flexible.

Volunteer over zoom

We are also open to volunteer teaching over Zoom, from your home country. Typically, these volunteers will teach one class in the evenings, as that is Japan’s morning.

Please contact ccsiadmin@gmail.com if you’re interested in serving in this way.
