Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Does CCSI have a boarding option?
A. No, unfortunately we do not have a boarding option. Families should be within commuting distance from the school.

Q. My spouse is not a Christian. Are we eligible?
A. As long as one parent is an active, committed Christian, and can raise the child within a Christian environment, then both parents do not need to be Christian.

Q. Do I have to be presbyterian to join CCSI?
A. No. CCSI welcomes Christians of all denominations who can submit to the Westminster Confession of Faith.

Q. What extracurricular activities are available at CCSI?
A. Although we do not compete in any inter-high school tournaments, we do have a few student led clubs available. Some examples include a running club, a newspaper club, and a chess class. Students can form new clubs with prior approval as well.

Q. What does my child’s language level need to be to join CCSI?
A. Their current language level must be within two grades of their age level. [e.g., For a student to begin in E-track in 7th grade (1st grade of middle school), their reading, speaking, listening, and writing ability should be equal to or higher than a 5th-grade level.]

Q. Why is CCSI on a four-day schedule?
A. Because many of our teachers are missionary teachers with other ministry responsibilities, we use Monday as a home-school day to allow them more flexibility in their schedules. Students are given extra homework to be completed on Mondays and parents are asked to assist with homeschooling their children on those days.

Q.  What behavior does CCSI expect from its students?
A. CCSI has four basic expectations for student behavior:

  • Attentiveness - It is the teachers’ responsibility to teach, but the students’ responsibility to learn. CCSI students should seek to always pay attention and actively participate in their classes.

  • Respect - A very tangible expression of love for others (and for oneself) is shown through the respect given to them. CCSI students should seek to always interact with teachers and classmates in a respectful manner.

  • Obedience - God commands His people to obey proper authorities as a reflection of their love and obedience to Him. CCSI students should seek to always obey their teachers.

  • Responsibility - As students grow in maturity, knowledge, and wisdom, that will be demonstrated through the responsibility they display. CCSI students should seek to always behave in a responsible manner.
